Podcasting

What is Podcasting?

• A podcast is an audio blog that is made to download on a portable device or computer.

What is Subscribing?

• Subscribing is the act of transferring a podcast onto your personal computer or device.  When one subscribes to a podcast, they are notified with new posts and shows.

Find and Subscribe

• There are different ways to subscribe to podcasts.  One of the biggest resources to use is iTunes you can subscribe to podcasts with just a click of a button.  In other podcast directories you can find a XML feed link and copy and paste it into a network like iTunes.
• Podcast Directories:
• iTunes
• Podcast Alley
• Podfeed

Pod-casting

Pod-casting is a way to share information through audio or video!

Subscribing is a way to receive other peoples pod-casts when ever they post a new pod-cast.You can view and listen to the pod-cast!

The difference between iTunes and Podcast Directories (such as Podcast Pickle) is iTunes is a lot easier to use. iTunes makes it easier to find a podcast you would like to view, and you're not going to run into dead links to a podcast. iTunes also lets you see what is popular and has different categories so you're less likely to run into weird and poor quality pod-casts.
