Macromedia Flash

This is my text .gif

We used Macromedia flash to make these GIFS. It was a little confusing to use, but with some help we got it figured out! We worked for macromedia for about two weeks!

We first made flash animations in Macromedia. On the top we made the word "Hello" stretch and fade. On the top left we took a sqaure and a circle bounce around the box. To the right I made a Mermaid (following a motion path) rising up out of the ocean then going back in. On the bottom left I made what was originally a red circle bounce around the box, change color, and change shape. For most we had to draw the object and convert it to the symbol then place it where we wanted for each frame within a motion tween. For the mermaid, I also had to draw a motion path.

Animoto

Animoto

Make a video of your own at Animoto.

 Purpose
The purpose of this was project was to learn a new way to make a video. We were able to use animoto and it was a really cool experience, animoto is a really nice program.

Process
The process I had to go through was I first had to sign up for a free Animoto account.
I then had to pull in photos I already had saved to my drive, and arrange them into the order I wanted them and I edited and added captions to some of them. I also changed the music on it and made sure I liked the theme I had selected.

Possibilities
This project had lots of possibilities. I could have made a much longer video if I had used a paid for account. I also could have done a little more searching than I did for a theme. I also could use animoto for a different class project.

PhotoStory

 PhotoStory

I used Photo Story to create my zoo movie, I had to pull in the same photo several times then I used some affects on it to make each one a little different. I got the photo from Kid's Biology. I used different transitions, them I had the photo start and finish in different places. I used the create option in Photo Story to get music for my movie, I used classical music for my movie, because it was about whales and I think of whales as classy animals.

We used photo story to make this movie, because it has a few more features that Power Point doesn't have. This application is unique because it lets you caption photos in the movie. Photo story isn't as easy to use as Power Point, but it's not extremely difficult to use. The purpose of putting a Zoo page on Snowed Inn gives it another enticing feature, it gives the inn more of a family appeal.

The effects on the pictures worked really well, the transitions didn't work as well, I thought that they seemed kind of awkward. If I could change anything I would change the timing and the type of transition. I could add a lot more to the webpage to make it more interesting, maybe change the background. I could make another PhotoStory, probably slightly faster, now that I'm familiar with it. I could also show another person how to do it easily.

Reflect PPT

Power Point Reflection

I used Microsoft Power Point to create my Amenities Movie. I found my pictures with the advanced search in Google that only gave me copy right free results. I tried to place my photos different places on each slide to make them more entertaining. I tried to use transitions and animations to draw attention to certain words or points on a slide, like I made certain words fly in. I got my music from Clip Art, I selected music that went along with my water park amenity, so that people would feel like they were there and be enticed to actually go there.

We used Power Point to make a movie because we have used it before, it's a fairly common application, and it's really user friendly. We put an amenities page on Snowed Inn because it would convince people to go to Snowed Inn, and it's more entertaining than just reading about the amenities. My movie was both energetic and relaxing. My amenity was a water park, so it's energetic because children will like it, but it's also relaxing because I talk about safety and a hot tub for the adults.

I think using Power Point worked really well from the assignment. The only thing was it was sometimes hard to get the affects to do what I wanted them to do. The only thing I might have done differently was how I had each slide organized. I could probably add some more pictures and mess around with the font to make the web page more interest. If I were to make another one of these, I could probably do it fairly easily and quickly now that I know where everything is in Power Point. I could probably help someone make a similar movie, it wouldn't be that hard to do.

Convincing You!

I found Decently Funny with Nuzzy and the Guy on iTunes. The podcast is hosted by David Nussbaum and Guy Opochinski, the podcast is a comedey/celebrity interview show. The episode I listened to was episode #93, released January 16, 2012. In this Podcast they interviewed the members of Panic! At The Disco, they asked them a wide variety of questions, and several that I haven't heard interviewers asked before. I think the two are pretty funny, and do a good job at interviewing people, they're pretty laid back and I would highly recommend listening to their pod casts.  Epcast I found Epcast on Podcast Pickle. This podcast discusses all things Disney, but mostly focuses on Disney World! March 14th they posted a podcast about the ride Pirates and it's changes. The podcast is hosted by Jonathan Chapman! If you like Disney World I would highly recommend this podcast.

Pod-casting

Pod-casting is a way to share information through audio or video!

Subscribing is a way to receive other peoples pod-casts when ever they post a new pod-cast.You can view and listen to the pod-cast!

The difference between iTunes and Podcast Directories (such as Podcast Pickle) is iTunes is a lot easier to use. iTunes makes it easier to find a podcast you would like to view, and you're not going to run into dead links to a podcast. iTunes also lets you see what is popular and has different categories so you're less likely to run into weird and poor quality pod-casts.
