Power Point Reflection
I used Microsoft Power Point to create my Amenities Movie. I found my pictures with the advanced search in Google that only gave me copy right free results. I tried to place my photos different places on each slide to make them more entertaining. I tried to use transitions and animations to draw attention to certain words or points on a slide, like I made certain words fly in. I got my music from Clip Art, I selected music that went along with my water park amenity, so that people would feel like they were there and be enticed to actually go there.
We used Power Point to make a movie because we have used it before, it's a fairly common application, and it's really user friendly. We put an amenities page on Snowed Inn because it would convince people to go to Snowed Inn, and it's more entertaining than just reading about the amenities. My movie was both energetic and relaxing. My amenity was a water park, so it's energetic because children will like it, but it's also relaxing because I talk about safety and a hot tub for the adults.
I think using Power Point worked really well from the assignment. The only thing was it was sometimes hard to get the affects to do what I wanted them to do. The only thing I might have done differently was how I had each slide organized. I could probably add some more pictures and mess around with the font to make the web page more interest. If I were to make another one of these, I could probably do it fairly easily and quickly now that I know where everything is in Power Point. I could probably help someone make a similar movie, it wouldn't be that hard to do.
