Snowed Inn Amenities

I created this Snowed Inn video using Power-point.Power-point is a presentation program created by Microsoft.Have you ever wanted to create a video? Yes?No? Maybe? Well if you have, maybe i can help.Let me take you through the steps i took in order to make my video.Then decide for yourself if your interested in making your own videos or not:) 

When creating a video, first you obviously have to choose a program on your computer that has the capabilities of making videos and/or movies. I personally recommend Power-point by Microsoft, it was effective for me and easy to use.After selecting Power-point as the program I wanted to use I waited for it to load. Once it loaded, the first thing I did was name my movie and save it into my file, so I could easily find it later and save my progress as I gradually made my video.I made my first slide of my power-point using the "Title Slide" Layout that Power-point gives you the choice of. Power-point will already have your first "Title Slide" automatically Layed Out.In the Text box that they provide for you it will say "Click to add Title",I added my title which was "Snowed Inn". Power-point also provides a text box below the Title text box, in this text box I added any additional text that I wanted to appear on my title slide.Like my name, that way people knew who made my video.After entering the text on my Title Slide,I wanted to add more slides to my movie.I did this by going to the top of my Power-point tool bar, making sure I was on the "Home" tab, on the home tab there will be a "New Slide" button. In order to create a new slide you will want to click that button, and select the layout that you want to use. If you want to start fresh then all you do is select the "blank" layout that they provide for you.Then you should go through and enter your text on the slides that you want. If you want to add pictures to your movie like I did, thee will be a "Picture" button in the "Insert Tab" at the top of the toolbar in Power-point.Also,make sure that the pictures you use are not copy-righted. In other words, don't just find your pictures on Google, find a sight that gives you pictures that you are allowed to use.You can format the background of you Power-point Movie like I did as well,there will be a "background styles" button in the "Design tab". If you want to go farther than that you can do what I did and add transitions to your slides like,Cut,Fade,Push and ect.I added transitions to my Video. You can also add animation to the text of your video to make your text appear, bounce,fade and many more.Adding transitions and animations to your video will make it more enjoyable to watch for the viewers.
I enhanced my slides by using Transitions and Animations, I feel like adding Images enhanced my slides as well. The last thing I did for my video was add music. The song I played in my movie was "What A Wonderful World" :). Just make sure that you don't use a copyrighted song without permission.I choose this song because its my favorite song and I felt like it would go along great with the slides and people could relate to my video when watching it since its a well known song.
I used Power-point to make this movie because,Power-point was fast and easy for me to use. It also provided me with all the things I needed,in order to make my movie exactly how I wanted it to be.In my opinion,Power-point is the easiest of all other movie applications.
The Purpose of putting an Amenities Page on Snowed Inn, is so that people can see what the Snowed Inn Hotel has to offer for there customers and try to get them to stay there.Putting a movie on the amenities will help capture peoples attention.
My movie was calm and serene, I wanted the viewers to feel like it was home away from Home.
I believe I could train a novice to make a video,with Power-point.
