Podcasting could be considered a blog with voice because there are multiple uploads everyday, but they aren't pictures/paragraphs it's someone talking.

Subscribing is when you subscribe to a podcast & it keeps you updated on the latest podcasts. You can do free subscriptions on iTunes & many other sites are available.
When subscribing on iTunes you must go to the store & click on the category "Podcasts." Not all of the podcasts on iTunes are free, though. Most on a Podcast Directory (such as Podcast Pickle) are free. iTunes & most Podcast Directory's have categories where you can chose from.
